Parents Workshops (Cafecitos) –  Topic driven workshops (Taller para padres de distintos temas):

Parents and guardians are invited to join our topic driven workshops. These workshops offer valuable community resources information as well as arts and crafts activities for guardians. It is also an excellent opportunity to meet other parents, and stay connected to what is happening in the community and at Laurel. Every Cafecito (coffee meeting) offers a different and engaging topic. All Laurel parents and guardians are welcome to attend. Currently the Cafecitos are conducted virtually. Incredible Years Parenting Training (also known as Dinosaur School for Parents) 

Clase para Padres Los Años Increíbles (también conocida como Clase de Dinosaurios para Padres):

Parents whose children are between the grades of TK - 3rd grade and whose children are enrolled in the Dinosaur School Small Groups, are invited to attend this training. This is a 12-week course where aprents will learn skills, similar to the ones their children will learn in the Small Groups. Topics include: Rules, Reading and Homework Skills, Setting Limits, Using Rewards, and Positive Discipline. Parents can attend to as many classes as able. Incentives for participation and attendance are raffles. Currently the parent training is conducted virtually. Please contact Veronica G. at or 760-472-3513 for more information.

Padres, madres, y cuidadores de niños entre los grados de Tk a 3ro, y que han inscrito a sus niños en el programa de grupos chicos de la Escuela Dinosaurio, están invitados a asistir a esta clase. Este es un curso de 12 semanas donde los padres aprenderán habilidades similares a las que sus niños aprenderán en los grupos chichos de la Escuela Dinosaurio. Los temas que se discutirán incluyen: Reglas, Habilidades de leer y hacer tarea, Estableciendo limites, Uso de Recompensas y una disciplina positiva. Los padres pueden asistir a todas las clases que les sea posible. Durante la clase se hacen distintas rifas de obsequios por participación o por asistencia. Por favor comuníquese con la Sra.
